Our Story: Hospitality veterans. Storytellers at heart.
Captive Audience Creative was founded by Aimee Bender and Jeremiah Doherty, two professionals who share a deep-seated belief: to market a venue effectively, you must first understand the business of hospitality.
They came to filmmaking through decades of combined experience in the high-end hospitality world—from the rhythm of private dining and operations to the artistic discipline of light, motion, and film.
Together, they blend the artistry of design with operational precision, creating cinematic tours that don't just look beautiful; they communicate feeling, story, and purpose to drive your bookings.
A hospitality veteran with an eye for design and visual communication, Aimee brings over two decades of experience in private dining and operations to Captive Audience Creative. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, she honed her craft at New York City’s most acclaimed institutions—including Gramercy Tavern, BLT Fish, and Bar Boulud—learning that a brand’s value is defined by the precise interplay of atmosphere, rhythm, and service.
Her work in hospitality technology revealed a critical gap: while digital platforms streamline operations and organize the booking process, they often fail to communicate the feeling of the space itself. Aimee realized that a cohesive visual strategy—blending cinematic tours with still photography—is the essential missing link. While film captures the energy to build an emotional connection, architectural stills anchor the character and distinction of a space.
At CAC, Aimee connects the dots between operational logic and visual artistry. She transforms the soul of a physical environment into high-impact assets, providing the "visual proof" that empowers sales teams to move beyond logistics and successfully drive bookings.
Co-Founder / Creative Director
A filmmaker at heart, Jeremiah has always been drawn to the way light, movement, and sound tell stories. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts and a lifelong film enthusiast, he began his career in some of the country’s most respected restaurants — including Gramercy Tavern, Mozza, and Bestia — experiences that sharpened his appreciation for design, timing, and the emotion that lives within a space.
Those years taught him that every environment has its own rhythm — a natural choreography between architecture, atmosphere, and feeling. At Captive Audience Creative, Jeremiah brings that sensibility to life through cinematic storytelling, transforming empty spaces into experiences that resonate. His work blends a director’s intuition with a designer’s eye, shaping films that feel intentional, immersive, and deeply human.
